I found the hotel staff, helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble if I asked. The location is ideal, close to all connections into Athens, Piraeus with the choice of bus or tram. The sea and a nice park are opposite the hotel and as a female I felt safe.

it's perfect for sightseeing in Athens or stopover before trip to islands; however if you are looking for a long only beach holiday you'd better go to Glyfada as beaches and sea, around hotels, are a bit dirty.Hotel is really clean and breakfast is good value for money.Rooms are pretty small however suitable for short staying.Airport by bus x96 is 1 hour away and very well connected. The reception has been renewed but rooms are from80's.
the busy road right next to hotels that makes hard and time consuming crossing the street all the time and also makes the place a bit polluted.

We stayed at the Avra Hotel after leaving our seven day sailing trip with three other couples. Our plan was to arrive there in the early evening, have dinner with friends and then leave early the next morning for ny. Fortunately our plans had to change because of an air controllers strike which closed the airport for the entire day. The staff at Avra were so helpful to us. We were able to stay another night there and get into Athens to see the Acropolis at sunset. The location of the hotel couldn't have been more convenient for us. Close to the Marina, across from the tram and bus stops and half a block from the seaside and a beautiful park. We were very happy with our choice to stay there.Jane ny

Nice basic level hotel w/ economical pricing. Polite and servile staff, 24 h service. Good connections to the city center with tram. Proximity to beach area, in a peaceful neighbourhood.
Heavy traffic on nearby transit road.

Reception was friendly and information accurate. The room on 4th floor had a nice view on the sea. There is a fridge in which you can store some of your own drinks. There is a small litft to go to the upper floors. Room for 3/4 is spacious enough. Clean room.
Noisy neighborhood of the ring road (6 lanes). You will be happy to close your balcony windows and refresh yourself with the air conditionning. Room neighbors have to be careful in not making noise (doors and walls are paper thin). Also you will hear your neighbors phone ring if it happens... A wheelchair will not fit in the elevator ! And you will need to have it stored in the lobby if not foldable (electric chairs for example).

The staff at Avra Hotel was really friendly and it was no problem to arrive in the middle of the night and leave early in the morning on my day of departure. They were helpful with information about restaurants, how to use the tram and any other inquiries I might have.

Friendly, discreet and helpful staff. The view from the balcony was great!
The hotel lift is incredibly small. But this is a minor thing compared to all the good features and the incredible value for money this hotel offers.
